The Fabled Times
I wanted to create a newspaper editorial based in a world where folklore and monsters are real. Just news of a world very different from ours but very normal to the reader from that world.
A project on publication design with the opportunity to engage in the design, print, and production of a newspaper. It involved me going through a step-wise, hands-on learning process ranging from materiality for the publication, using grids, working through navigation and information architecture, studying narratives, type selection and type-setting, page layout, masthead design, binding, and publication production.
This newspaper is personally one of the most exciting projects I have worked on, as it allowed me to use my skills as a sketch artist and integrate them into my designs in a way that works perfectly with the overall tone of the publication.
It allowed me to think freely and design something new while designing for a target audience that doesn't exist. This project really helped me tickle my creativity along with developing new skills.
